Hope everyone had a great Holiday! We did, we stayed home. Its so nice to take it all peaceful and calm. Usually when we stay home it is. When we travel, its just not so relaxing.
We will be going to Arizona to visit Family January 8th. We found tickets for $60 per person round trip. Yes its a Wow that's amazing deal. Check out Allegiant air, they only fly certain places.

So its been awhile since I've posted anything. I thought about Blue and Tan, I'm so in love w/ those color combos. I've found just a few pretties I wanted to share with you.

http://lindsayart.etsy.com/

Some of these Artist haven't had a Sale on Etsy. I think they should real soon.
Colors play a huge role in all of our lives. Did you know that Blue: I think Blue is the best. Blue can actually trigger the body to produce calming chemicals. Blue frequently invokes words like dependable, loyal, logical, soothing, calm and focused, although some shades can bring feelings that are more dynamic and exhilarating, or cold and distant.
Brown/Tan : Brown often conjures up feelings of stability and naturalness. Experience sensations of reliability when they see brown and a sense of order and wholesomeness. What colors do you gravitate to? See how you feel when you put on that Red shirt.

Just a tid bit of Winter Solstice for ya.

Winter Solstice has been celebrated in cultures the world over for thousands of years. This start of the solar year is a celebration of Light and the rebirth of the Sun.

In the Northern Hemisphere, the Winter Solstice occurs on December 21, 2008

Solstice means...
standing-still-sun

Winter solstice is when......because of the earth's tilt, your hemisphere is leaning farthest away from the sun, and therefore: The daylight is the shortest. The sun has its lowest arc in the sky.

Most of the customs, lore, symbols, and rituals associated with "Christmas" actually are linked to Winter Solstice celebrations of ancient Pagan cultures.

At this time manifest wellness on Planet Earth. Donate food and clothing to poor in your area. Volunteer time at a social service agency. Put up bird feeders and keep them filled throughout the winter. Donate funds and items to non-profit groups. Meditate for world peace. Work magic for a healthier planet. Make a pledge to do some form of good works in the new solar year.

So light a candle tonight, welcome back the light.

Merry Yule

Happy Solstice

Blessed Be

ThreadKiller Junkies

Thread Killer Junkies, yes I'm one of those. If you haven't already posted or read some in the Etsy Forums. You should, there are lots of great people on there that I've chatted with. Its fun and insightful. You can learn better ways to Promote your shop, just talk, find that curtain something your looking for.

Back to the Thread Killer. Whats a thread killer you ask. Well when someone post a thread killer they are giving us a place to meet, chat, and see each others work and possibility a chance to win Fabulous Prizes!! Who doesn't like that! In some threads you have to be the last to post in for 24 hours to win. Some you have to be the magical Number. I've wondered what is the magically number to really stop and kill the thread from it going on. I guess I'll never know.

So today I've thought I'd share some of the great people and there stores with you.
1st I'd thought I'd start with Just another soap thread killer:

It is hosted and posted by http://goatsdesign.etsy.com/

She's got great soaps :

and Samples!!! Go and get your self or someone you love clean!!

Here's another great shop whom I've had the pleasure to type at http://inkwear99.etsy.com/
There a family ran business with very unique goods:

She has Vintage goodies and some of her Paintings

Yay

YAY! I'm in the next Meet Your Maker on Friday night!!
Should be good. There was a write up in the Eugene Weekly about Handmade in Oregon. It was a nice write up about the artist in the Last Months Meet Your Maker Indie Craft Show. There was a blip about our store. It made me smile.

Hope people have read it and are planing to go to the First Friday art walk down town and stop by the Broadway between 5 and 8pm and have a free wine tasting and come and check out the artist that are going to be selling. They can get caught up on Christmas presents.

Then on Saturday I'm going to be selling at the Eugene Waldorf Winter's Light Fair. It will be Brandon and my 1st time selling there. I hear its a magical fair for the whole family. Our Goal is to sell out of toy airplanes, catapults, and all of my Pixie HoodEs! I think that's a pretty good goal.

We are trying to save up money to go to Arizona and see family in January. We haven't been there in about 5 years. Its kinda hard, our boys haven't even met some of there cousins. It will be a great visit.

Well off to finish up a few projects~
