Happy Earth Day!

Today is a day to celebrate and appreciate all things nature, but also a time to take note of our own environmental impacts and commit to minimizing our ecological footprint. Lets leave the planet better than we found it. A healthier earth, for our children and children's children!

Plant a tree, Use reusable cloth bags when shopping. Get energy efficient light bulbs,and energy efficient appliances. Eat organic, plant a garden not grass. Use recycled material. I know that Brandon and I use material that someone would of already thrown out. All the stuff in our etsy shop is made with Mama Earth in mind. We love our mother! Lets make a difference!

Rodendrum Garden

Rodendrum Garden at Hendrix Park. Such a sweet place to send some time. My Good friend and my two boys and I went to the garden for a little stroll. As we walked along smelling the wonderful fragrance and all the eye candy. You could see these little elf's, and they were all over the place. They were hanging from the Branches, peeking out from the blossoms. We really loved it! We picked up a few and relocated them around the garden for others to enjoy.

In this picture of my boys, they were standing in a giant family tree. Which had a huge bowl (were they where standing). They didn't even notice the elf next to them. Until I showed them the pictures. They just laughed. Elijah said: "they are just tricky" -Pretty cute! Yuh? I love experiencing the world threw my boys eyes. There is just so much great stuff to do in Eugene. We are blessed!

Faerie Wings

I just got 5 more faerie wings done! Yay! I've been making them for Sweet Potato Pie here in Eugene, Oregon. Its a really Sweet Shop with local artist. Eco-friendly Fashions like hemp/bamboo. Local Art Glass and my Faerie Dresses and wings.

Kaleidoscope Kit!

This was super fun and a great way to show my two boys (Adan who is 10, and Elijah who is 5) how Kaleidoscopes are made. We got the kit from Kathryn of http://katrinastreasures.etsy.com/ "KALEIDOSCOPE TRI WAND KIT"

It was really simple and well explained in the instructions.
My boys loved it!!

We talked about reflection symmetry, rotational symmetry, and different symmetry combinations I'm not sure if Elijah got it, but Adan sure did.
I love watching the tube is rotate, the tumble with all the coloured objects in the viewer great colours and patterns. It was a great learning experience!

Park Flyer

Today was a day of flight, the day my daydreams begin. I forced myself to buy a radio controlled airplane. this being my first attempt since bein a kid. It went a lot better this time though, I suppose I sort of earned my RC wings. but maybe that comes after successful takeoff and landings. consecutively. All in all it was very fun and I can keep it in the air for quite a while as long as I don't all of a sudden think I can do fancy stuff. So off to do some repairs to prepare for next time.
